Virtual Audio Tour Volunteer Project
About the Project:
Thank you for participating in Emancipation Park Conservancy's Virtual Audio Tour Volunteer Project virtually during our 149th Annual Juneteenth Celebration. As Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19th to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US, your participation in this very important project is instrumental in helping the Conservancy enhance its educational, historic, and informative virtual tour which will highlight the culture and historic significance of the historic Emancipation Park. The result of this project will help us fulfill our mission: to enhance Emancipation Park by preserving its integrity and enriching its heritage as a local, state, national, and international landmark.
Volunteer Registration:
- Complete the registration form on this page
- Be sure to check your email (and your junk/spam mail) for your registration confirmation - it will include the links to the survey and the tour (which will open June 1st and will conclude midnight, June 19th)
Volunteer Project:
- Project Timeline: June 1-19, 2021
- Review the survey in its entirety prior to taking the tour
- Take the 45-minute Historic Emancipation Park Virtual Audio Tour, which includes 19 tour points around the park. As you take the tour, please take notes and provide suggestions to the improvement of the tour and sharing your experience from beginning to end
- Capture your notes in the 5-question survey and submit (approximately 10-15 minutes)
