Engaging with EPC just got easier. Stay connected to Emancipation Park all in one place

HAPPY JUNETEENTH!

We are working proactively to bring you interactive virtual events that keep you connected to Emancipation Park from the comfort of your home. For special events and marketing inquiries or to share your ideas, contact Kynetta Moore at events@epconservancy.org.

Emancipation Park's 149th Annual Juneteenth Celebration presented by Shell will be virtual this year due to the pandemic and the permit restrictions per special events at City of Houston operated venues or facilities. We are thrilled to once again plan a schedule of amazing activities for the community to enjoy from June 1st to June 19th from the comfort of their homes. #WEAREJUNETEENTH virtual experience is a national campaign that celebrates Juneteenth and its connection to the African American experience including the history, traditions, heritage, and culture.

During the month of June, we will use various platforms to highlight the community and the proactive measures they are taking to affect change. We will share stories of triumph and healing, host panel discussions surrounding topics specific to African American experiences, spotlight businesses and organizations, celebrate with entertainment, and recognize leaders and history makers pushing the movement forward.

Participate in the #WEAREJUNETEENTH Campaign

You're invited to join the movement by participating in Emancipation Park Conservancy's virtual Juneteenth campaign, #WEAREJUNETEENTH (#WAJ) from June 1st - June 19th.  You can choose to post a photo of you posing with the postcard OR you can add the photo and text to your post briefly saying what your word means in connection to Juneteenth. How to participate:

The result of this project will help us fulfill our mission: to enhance Emancipation Park by preserving its integrity and enriching its heritage as a local, state, national, and international landmark.
